Our fist week with meal planning

I believe it was a success. My attitude towards cooking totally changed and I realized that I actually enjoy cooking. We stuck to the menu all week except Saturday. James worked at the vineyard until about 1pm on Saturday so we went to Tokyo Steakhouse when he got home. We were too full to eat dinner before we went over to a friend's house so I didn't make what I had planned. I am going to post our week menu. 4 out of the 6 days were new recipes, so if anyone would like a copy of the recipe let me know.

Monday: Spaghetti
Tuesday: Chicken Stuffing Pie and crescent rolls
Wednesday: Ritzy Chicken, Italian Sauteed Veggies, and gravy (I even tried a recipe for gravy. YUMMY!)
Thursday: Leftovers (James refs basketball from 6-10 and doesn't like to eat beforehand so we are on our own on Thursdays)
Friday: Terriyaki Chicken Rolls and rice pilaf
Saturday: (planned) Beef & Broccoli
Sunday: French Dip and Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Next week I am trying a few new recipes again. Here is our plan:

Monday: Beef & Broccoli (This was planned, but we spent all night cleaning out James' car so we could sell it so I moved this to Saturday)
Tuesday: Tin Foil Dinners
Wednesday: Garlic Chicken with Sauteed Zucchini
Thursday: Leftovers or Dirty Rice
Friday: Burgundy Steak with Veggie Stir Fry
Saturday: Beef & Broccoli
Sunday: Chicken & Wild Rice (crock pot)

I would love your dirty rice recipe and the ritzy chicken. I am trying to plan my meals ahead too. It makes life a little easier come dinner time. I found the other recipes in our new book that mom gave us and I am going to try those and more.
