Just call me E Harmony

Last night James and I were talking. I wish I had a tape recorder to replay some of our conversations. When we have deep conversations there's no holding anything back.

I had jokingly said I was going to die of a heart attack sometime in the next few days because I have been having chest pains. I am very aware that if I die James will waste no time in finding a replacement for me. It's not that he doesn't love me. It's mostly that he can't survive on his own, he needs a "woman's touch" to take care of things at home. And James is fully aware that I will haunt his new bride every day....but that's for another post.

After I mentioned I was going to die and James followed up by reminding me that he would have to find another wife soon afterwards, I asked him how he would find someone else. Our church has a congregation for single people to attend and meet others. James is now too old to attend this ward. So I was curious as to how he might go about finding another woman with the same morales and standards as him.

Without hesitation he said, "I would put an ad on your blog. I would mention how sad I am that the only memory I have of my dead wife is our touching toothbrushes." He went on and on as though he has thought this through before.

So if you see and "ad" on here a few days after I pass away, don't be offended. Just know that I expect that and would actually be surprised if he didn't do that.

your too funny! Must be fun to joke around with james...dont take him too serious though, I am sure we would mourn for at least a month before posting the ad. haha. I hope that chest pain goes away, cause thats not cool.

He thinks on his feet and even when he was little his stories were very hilarious but rang with the truth. The "Mercy Pick Mom" is my favorite. Just remember, HE might need another wife soon but NO ONE can replace our awesome daughter-in-love LaFawnda!

That's so funny. I have gone over those kinds of scenarios myself when David is really late getting home & I start to worry, then overreact.
