2 Races: one from the '90s and one from the '11s

On Saturday, we ran in the Brian Sturgeon St. Patty's Day Race. It was a beautiful day for a run through Woodward Park.

Our usual pre race picture.

Sprinting to the finish line. I'm not sure why I was smiling!

While looking through my boxes of pictures, I ran across this picture. It was from 1990 or 1991. I was probably 7 or 8 years old. I am the one on my Dad's shoulders. This was the Aloha Walk/Run, which is a 8 mile race that starts at the Aloha tower (downtown Honolulu) and ends at the Aloha Stadium. I remember doing a few races with my parents in Hawaii. My poor Dad!

I was hoping to run a race while we are in Hawaii in a few weeks, but sadly there aren't any on the days we will be there.

Way to go...my running friend. I am inspired. I am a total slug, but I have finally started to understand why people run...it only took me 28 years. :) haha

Hmmm... So that's where you get it from. Awesome! I love that old picture! I'd run races too if someone would carry me on their shoulders! ;)
