I've always wanted to do a zombie race. There's been a few of them here, but they've always been on Sundays (I don't do sports on sundays). Finally, there was one on a saturday!
I got to do the race with my good friend, Rachel.
I'm not going to lie, the zombies freaked me out. I'm not 100% sure I'll do a zombie race ever again.
I did figure out a trick that work for about half of the male zombies....smile really big and say hello. What man can resist a smile.
It wouldn't be a mud and blood race without mud...
or without rotten fruit. Gross!
This is a little conceded, but I like this picture because you can see my muscles that I've worked years on getting. I enjoy working out, but because I am naturally skinny-ish, I don't see results for my hard work (like loosing inches or the scale going down). It's the little victories that make me happy.
It was hot so I decided a nice swim would cool me off. I have to remind myself that people pay big bucks for mud baths.
Everyone started the race with 3 flags. If you ended the race with at least 1 flag, you survived and got a medal. There were a few "aid" stations along the way. If you were out of flags you could do something to earn 1 or 2 more. I had to act like a seal at one station. Another one made you do 10 burpees (if you don't know what burpess are, you are very fortunate to not know this torture).
