Aloha Oye
My mom has told me, ever since we moved from there, she could tell I have been incredibly home sick. I have a little box with my Hawaiian keepsakes; shell leis, candy leis (they are made of hard candy), star fish and conk shells we found on the beach, books in Hawaiian, and my Kala'au (hula sticks) from my lessons in school. I enjoy looking in this box when I go to Indiana to visit my family, but it always makes me miss Hawaii.
Even though I was only 9 when we moved, I still knew how great of a place it was. I loved going to school everyday and learning Hawaiian words along with English, learning hula dances, and learning more about the culture. I wish I could remember some of the dances or how to speak Hawaiian. I loved playing outside, climbing trees, riding my bike, and rolling down the hill in our backyard. Looking back it seemed like the perfect childhood. I have so many wonderful memories.
I hope we have the opportunity to see my old home and ward when we are there and many of the other places I remember. There are a few family friends that still live there that I am sure will invite us over for an authentic Hawaiian meal.... YUMMY!!

Which island are you going too?
I know you'll have the best time!
You asked about the ward. The Moyle's moved to Cedar City in July 2007. Mike got a job in the district office of the school system up there. We miss them a lot. Everyone else is still around. Well, the Jorgensen's moved across town and Brooke & Eric did as well. Traitors!! lol. We like it when they come to ward parties and park day and such. One thing you probably don't know is that one of our Young Women got hit by a car almost 3 weeks ago. Do you remember Heidi Henderson. It's her daughter Krystal. She's not in very good shape. Her brained was crushed and she'll be in the hospital for a long time. The ward is pitching in and taking care of the other boys while Heidi is at the hospital with Krystal. Please keep them in your prayers. Let me know if you want to know about anyone specific.
