Since Mother's Day is right around the corner, what kind of daughter would I be if I wasn't thankful for my Mom this week. Now that I am married, I am very fortunate to have 2 Moms to be thankful for!
Mom C (my actual Mom)- I am thankful that you are my Mother. I am thankful that you were home everyday when I came home from school. I am thankful that you were patient with me even when I was stubborn and wrong. I am thankful for everything you have taught me. I am thankful for the things that you sacrificed to make a better life for me and my sisters. I am thankful that you allowed me to make mistakes. I am thankful you were there to love me when I felt alone.
Mom K (my Mother-in-law)- I am thankful that I inherited you. I am thankful that you raised such a fine young man (your other 2 aren't so bad either!). I am thankful that you raised your boys to be gentlemen. I am thankful that you accepted me into the family with open arms. I am thankful that you are willing to take a whole day out to spend with me. I am thankful for all the skills you have taught me. I am thankful that you love me.
"Motherhood is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels." ~ James R. Clark
