Pardon The Interruption
Many of you who know me, know that I am very quiet and avoid conflicts at all costs. I will never confront someone when my feelings are hurt or if I disagree with them.
I have embarked on a new journey to become a stronger, more confident me and in doing so, I am taking a stand for something I believe is wrong.
I have tried to keep my blog uplifting and full of mostly the positive times in our life, but after my post about James' softball championship, I have received many negative comments and emails.
I would like to address these comments in a post because I greatly disagree with them and would like to clear up somethings that have been taken the wrong way and blown way out of proportion.
For those of you who don't know any of the background information about the softball league I posted about, it is a church league. It is open to any members of the church who are willing to commit to the team, period. Some people have gone about saying that it is an exclusive team that they aren't allowed to play on. This is wrong! What these people fail to realize is that this is not a pickup league. There are 20 teams out to beat our team. All the team leaders ask is that you commit. They don't care if you are a horrible player, just be a horrible player at every game. How can you have a united team, if every week there are different players?
A few people have accused them of not fellowshipping, but since they have never expressed any interest in playing on the team, they were unable to see that every year we have had a non member on our team. This year we even had a recent member.
Our team does enjoy winning, but they don't sacrifice fellowship in order to win. Every year they start the season knowing they will loose games and that they may not take home the champioinship, but because everyone on the team commits to the games and practices, they are able to work together and play off of each other's strengths and weaknesses. Being able to rely on one another is fellowshipping!
I am sad that a few people decided to use my blog to attack my husband. I don't care if you agree with the way the program was run or not. My husband had a wonderful season and I am extremely proud of him. He worked very hard to perfect his swing and this season he hit a homerun in almost every game. He pitched every game and was able to place the ball so that big hitters struck out. He out ran many throws and made it on to the base safe. I should be allowed to post that without wives trying to start a fight for their husbands!
I hope I don't offend anyone by this post. I am tired of this issue and most importantly I am tired of my husband being upset because of the things he is being accused of.

In RS no one talked to me and made me feel like I did not belong. When Bart became EQ president he pushed the fellowshipping, but everyone forgot about those that came before. The ones that wanted to meet people and get to know them, but no one seemed to care.
I hope and pray that they have changed that. Though I am far happier where I am now, I feel welcomed and appreciated in the ward that I am in now.
Andrew and I are very new to the ward and we have felt nothing but acceptance and love from all members who have reached out and who we have reached out to. A ward is what you make of it. You can choose to participate or you can choose to sit back and feel sorry for yourself.
Bravo to you Kresta for standing up for yourself/James and I'm sorry that some people were cowardly and hid behind the internet to express their true ill feelings.
