Wascally Wabbit Half Marathon 9/20/14

For the past 4 years, my goal has always been to run a half marathon- 13.1 miles. Every year I've been overwhelmed by the thought of running that far.

I decided that 2014 was the year to do it. No more excuses!

Kimmy and I trained for 12 weeks to make sure that we were not only physically ready for it, but also mentally. I now know that it takes much more mental strength than physical for me to run this distance.  In the weeks before the race, I ran a few practice races so that I could break through my wall and know that I can mentally do it.
This was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but I still really enjoyed it.
This was the first time that I had to actually train and race with gear. I learned to love warm water sloshing with every step and the taste of Guu.

Now that I've done it, I'm planning it again. This time I will cut off 40 minutes from our time. This will be a big challenge, but I am excited to feel the accomplishment when I do.
